I consider it my duty to forward, for Your Lordship's information, Copy of a Despatch that I have addressed to Viscount Palmerston, No. 11 of the 17th Instant, on the subject of a Piracy alleged to have been committed by the crew
of a British vessel named the "Spee" of a Junk belonging to certain Chinese of the Coast of China, and a detail of all that has taken place with reference thereto, and of the result the Proceedings of the Admiralty Court which I caused to be assembled for the trial of the accused.
